Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Budget Safari
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Your guide will pick you up from and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park across the rift valley escarpment as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. You will have an en route game drive during which you will see wildlife species such as giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, buffalos, antelopes, reedbucks, elands, impalas among others.
Lunch will be served at your lodge after check in and after lunch, you will have another game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, and you will visit the flamingo filled Lake Nakuru which is a good birding spot to see flocks of flamingos along the lake shores as well as other bird species and wildlife species grazing in the nearby plains. You will be driven back to your lodge after your evening game drive to have your dinner and overnight at Ziwa Bush Lodge
Day 2: Morning Game and Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and go for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Keep your eyes out for views of towering giraffes, buffaloes, rhinos, zebras and several water bird species on the shores of Lake Nakuru.
After the experience you will embark on a journey to Lake Naivasha which is a short drive away. Enjoy lunch at your lodge after check-in. In the afternoon you will take a guided walk around the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Boat Cruise and visit the Crescent Island
Enjoy a delicious breakfast, and go for a boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Naivasha. As you sail on the calm waters you will see several animals like hippos and water birds in the waters and along the shores.
The boat cruise on Lake Naivasha leads you to the Crescent Island where you will enjoy picnic lunch and a guided walk with the giraffes, elands, warthogs and zebras among others. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge
Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, drive along the Great Rift Valley, passing by the recently erupted volcano of Mount Longonot en route to Masai Mara Game Reserve from Amboseli National Park. You shall enjoy lunch en-route, and proceed to the reserve. Enjoy wild game viewing as you transfer to your camp of stay. Check in at the camp, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Sentrim Mara Camp.
Day 5: Game Drives in Masai Mara, Maasai Cultural Tour
Wake up to a morning game drive in the Masai Mara after breakfast at the lodge and get to see various wild game in the park, including big 5 animals. Look out for various birds in Masai Mara, as well as the beautiful landscape of the park. Enjoy your lunch in the wilderness, and then head out for yet another game drive in the Masai Mara. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.
Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge and then depart for Serengeti National Park with game drives en-route. Cross to Tanzania through the Isebania border, and proceed to your lodge of stay. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Tukaone Serengeti Camp.
Day 7: Full day in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast then continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti national Park to have a look for lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, hyenas, gazelles, hippos and more. You will have all meals and overnight stay as above.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Crater Drive with a morning visit to the Olduvai Gorge
In the morning after breakfast, head out with your packed lunch to transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and then descend into the Crater floor for a game drive in Ngorongoro. All the big 5 such as rhinos, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are zebra, hippos, wildebeest, hyena and many more. Birds such as flamingos can be seen on the soda lake. After your game drive, proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn
Day 9: Drive to Tarangire National Park, Guided Walking Safari
After breakfast check out and drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will have lunch and after lunch go for an evening guided walking safari. The park is home to large herds of elephants and baobab trees, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, troops of baboons, also birds and more. After your game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Sangaiwe Tented Camp.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, proceed for a transfer to Arusha arriving in time at the airport for your outbound flight, or drop off at your hotel. This brings your 10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari to an end.
