Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to the Masai Mara
Upon you arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will meet your safari driver who will give you a short briefing about the safari then embark on a drive to Masai Mara national reserve, on your way you will have a stopover in Narok town where you will have an opportunity to interact with the local Masai people, learn more about their culture and buy handmade art crafts. Then you will proceed to Masai Mara National Reserve where you will arrive in the evening, check into your lodge and prepare for an evening game drive.
Evening game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve is done in the dark hours of the night and the animals are seen with a help of a spot light, on this experience you will view predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas hunting their prey. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Full Day at the Masai Mara
After breakfast at your lodge, your safari driver will pick you up and head to Masai Mara National Reserve for a full day of adventure with your packed lunch. On this day you will explore Masai more on a game drive, on the game drive you will enjoy sights of the spectacular landscape of Masai mara, watch animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, hartebeests, warthogs and many more. You will also watch many bird species living in the park. At lunch you will have picnic lunch set on one of the picnic sites in the park, you will have your meals while enjoying the sights of animals and then head for another game drive in the afternoon. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for dinner and a stay over.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After early morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and have en-route game drive will heading to Lake Nakuru National Park, when you arrive in Lake Nakuru national park you will check into your lodge and go for an evening game drive. On the drive you will enjoy beautiful sunset and sights of nocturnal animals such as lions, leopards and many more. After the safari you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi and have a city tour
After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and embark on your drive back to Nairobi city which is a 3 hours’ drive a way, when you arrive you will head to Lake Nakuru national park for game drive. Game drive in Nairobi National Park is a very fascinating experience as you enjoy viewing animals such as with like giraffes, warthogs, African buffalo, baboon, eastern black rhinoceros, gazelle, Grant’s zebra, cheetah, Coke’s hartebeest, hippopotamus, African leopard, lion, common eland, impala and many more a backdrop of city skyscrapers. After the game drive you will have lunch and head to Nairobi National Museum where you will learn more about the history and culture of Kenya through displayed information and art pieces. You will also visit snake park situated adjust to the museum, in the snake park you will view many types of reptiles such as snakes, turtles, crocodiles and many more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
