3 Days Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safari
Welcome to this 3 days Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safari escape into Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. This safari is perfect for nature lovers who want to see a diverse range of wildlife in a short amount of time.
While many people go to the savanna for lions, this safari offers something different: the chance to see rare Rhinos, thousands of flamingos, and massive pods of hippos. From the pink-fringed shores of Lake Nakuru to the freshwater paradise of Lake Naivasha, this safari is a beautiful mixture of vehicle-based game drives and unique walking or boat safaris.
Day 1: Nairobi and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari begins with a morning pickup from Nairobi. Your safari guide will drive you toward the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a spectacular viewpoint to see the floor of the valley stretching out below us.
When you arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will go for the game drive. This park is a world-class rhino sanctuary, offering one of the rare opportunities to witness these attractive giants. Additionally, you will drive to the “Baboon Cliff” for a panoramic view of the lake.
You will see the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, among many others. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha.
After an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and then observe the predators as you leave Lake Nakuru National Park for Lake Naivasha. This is a freshwater lake, which means the ecosystem is completely different from the alkaline Lake Nakuru.
You will arrive in time for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for the boat safari on lake Naivasha. This is where you will spot the large pods of grunting hippos. It is a thrilling experience; during the experience, you will see the African Fish Eagles diving for their dinner.
After the boat ride, you will also visit the Crescent Island Private Sanctuary. This is one of the few places in Kenya where you can walk safely among wild animals like giraffes, waterbucks and zebras because there are no predators on the island. Later in the evening you will return back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Hell’s Gate exploration and return to Nairobi.
On the last day of your wildlife safari in Kenya, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and visit Hell’s gate national park that is located right next to the lake.

This park is famous for its dramatic scenery, including the towering cliffs and deep gorges. You can choose to explore the park by vehicle or rent a bicycle for a fun ride through the savanna alongside zebras and gazelles. The landscape was the inspiration for many scenes in “The Lion King.”
After a morning of exploration and a final lakeside lunch, you will begin your journey back to Nairobi, and once you arrive in the late afternoon, your safari guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, which will make the end of your Rift Valley adventure.
