DETAILED ITINERARY OF 14 DAYS KENYA EXPRESS WILDLIFE SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival at Nairobi Airport
To kick off your 14 days Kenya Express Wildlife Safari you will be picked from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on arrival by our safari driver-guide, after a short Kenya safari briefing you will transfer to your lodge in Nairobi city for an overnight.

DAY 2: Drive to Amboseli National Park
after breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi and drive southwards of the city heading to Amboseli National Park lieing on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro the tallest freestanding mountain in the world and the tallest mountain on the African Continent. As you enter the park you will ushered in by the magnificent backdrop of the snow capped summit of Mountain Kilimanjaro, head straight to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a game drive. on the game drive you will be able to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, leopards, lions, gazelles among others. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Game Drives at Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at your lodge you will head to park for a full day of exploring on morning and afternoon game drives, on this day you have plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the park such as the scenic background of Mount Kilimanjaro standing at the altitude of 5,896 meters with its snow capped summit presenting splendid views on clear days. Amboseli national park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya known for being a home to the some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa with impressive tusks, other animals you will also be able to see include wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, Hippos among others. After the full day of game drives, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Aberdare Ranges
Have breakfast , then leave Amboseli national park for Aberdares via Nairobi, on your way you will be the changing vista, arrive in the park and check into your lodge for lunch. Aberdares national park is a home to over 40 species of wildlife inhabiting in the forested mountain range and the upper moorlands, these animals include elephants, olive baboons, leopards, spotted hyenas, black and white colobus monkeys, bongo, golden cats, and African wild cat among others. After lunch you will go for a game viewing experience sighting various species of animals and birds and enough the magnificent scenery created by the Aberdares ranges. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you will leave the park heading to Samburu national reserve arriving in the time for lunch after checking in your lodge, in the afternoon you will go a game drive seeing various animals such as the Samburu special Five Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe, East African Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich among others. Samburu national reserve includes a diverse landscape of thorn scrub, red dirt, dried river beds, broken volcanic rocks, steep hills and rock outcroppings creating spectacular scenery which you will enjoy. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 6: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you will head to the reserve for a full day of exploring the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives, during the game drives you will be able to enjoy the lonesome panoramic beauty of the reserve created by the light and vastness. You will also encounter various permanent water sources which lure abundant species of wildlife into the area, the reserve is a home to uncommon species of wildlife such as the uncommon Grevy’s zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali Ostriches with distinct blue legs and the shy Oryx. Other animals to lookout for include elephants, crocodiles and various species of birds including weaver birds and martial eagles. After the game drive, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: Mount Kenya/ Sweet Waters
Have breakfast and head to the Samburu reserve for the game drive, then leave the park for Mount Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch at your lunch at your lodge, in the afternoon you will either explore Mount Kenya national park or have an optional tour to the nearby Sweetwater’s reserve which is a home to chimpanzees. Sweetwater’s Sanctuary os the only home to chimpanzee hosting two groups living in the natural habitat, the site is also a dedicated black rhino bleeding area, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

DAY 8: Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria
Have breakfast, leave Mountain Kenya and drive to Lake Baringo, on your way you will have a stopover at the Nyahururu Falls. These falls are also known as Thomson Falls named after Joseph Thomson who walked from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the early 1880s, the falls are created and shaped by the waters of the Ewaso Narok River and plunge at over 72 meters. Then head down to the Shallow Soda Lake Bogoria a home to large populations of flamingoes with over 2 millions flamingoes and other over 200 bird species. Lake Bogoria also features hot springs and geysers which are the main attractions in the area of the Lake.
You will then head to Lake Baringo the most northerly of Kenya’s sm
all Rift Valley Lakes, the lake is creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forests and it inhabits hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards which can easily be seen from the shores. Lake Baringo is another great birding spot in Kenya hosting over 1200 different species of birds. You will retire to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 9: Nakuru National Park
wake for breakfast and go for a morning boat ride in search for hippos, crocodiles and various bird species such as fish eagle, after lunch we will proceed to Lake Nakuru national park arriving in the afternoon and go for a game drive. On the game drive you will be able to see a number of animals such as warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos and a variety of bird species recorded to be over 400 species including flamingoes.

DAY 10: Masai Mara National Reserve
Have early breakfast and depart for Maasai Mara national reserve, on your way you will drive through the Great Rift Valley, Maasai Mara national reserve of 1510 square kilometers reserve is a typical savanna wide-open landscapes with riverine ravine woodland inhabiting a mass of amazing wildlife species, animals hosted in the reserve include Maasai Giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, cheetahs, leopards, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos among others.
Arrive at the reserve in time for lunch at the lodge, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive seeing a number of animals and enjoy the scenic landscape of the reserve. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 11- 12: Masai Mara National Reserve
The next two days of 14 days Kenya Express wildlife safari you will be exploring Maasai Mara national reserve on morning and afternoon game drives offering best chance of sightings wildlife, during these two you can also do the Hot air balloon safari on which you will be able to get aerial view of the reserve’s endless plains and various species of animals. If you are lucky you will be able to witness the great wildebeest migration present in Maasai Mara national reserve from July to Early October. You can also visit the Maasai Villages for an insight in the Maasai culture and be entertained by traditional dances and songs.

DAY 13: Back to Nairobi
Have breakfast and head to the reserve for your final morning game drive, have lunch then drive to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. You will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will checkout and drive to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your departure flight back home.
