DETAILED ITINERARY OF 3 DAY LUXURY BWINDI DOUBLE TREK THROUGH KIGALI
Day 1: pickup from Kigali City/Airport and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will be picked from Kigali International airport or any hotel in Kigali to mark the beginning of your safari, after the pickup and short safari briefing about what to expect you will start on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. The journey is very scenic and it will take you through a country of a thousand hills to the pearl of Uganda, you will cross from Rwanda in Uganda using Katuna or Chanika Border and you will have a stop at Kabale town or Kisoro (Chanika) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
On the arrival in the park, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Have an early morning breakfast at your lodge then head to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch, you will have a compulsory briefing at the park’s headquarters about the rules and regulations to follow while on the trek. The begin a hike in search for Mountain gorillas in the forests of Bwindi, the hike takes about 1-7 hours depending on the movements of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, once you meet them which is a thrilling encounter and a memory to hold, you will have a face to face encounter with these beautiful giants.
You are allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for 1 hour (60 minutes) maximum and allowed to take pictures, videos and enjoy watching them feed, playing and young ones swinging on tree.
Note: avoid using flash when taking photos.
You will then descend to your lodge for lunch and if you are not so tired you will have a brief visit to the local communities visiting curio shops, drinking joints, local school, orphanages among others. Alternatively you can do a brief nature walk on Munyanja river trail where you can see the waterfalls and an array of birdlife or the Muzabajiro/ Ruhija trails. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
