Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On the 1st day of the safari, you will be picked by your safari drive from your hotel either in Kampala or Entebbe, checkout and set off on a journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda, Lake Bunyonyi is found in Kabale a very scenic region with rolling green covered hills which is a reason to why it is refered to as the Switzerland of Africa. On your way you will have a stopover at the equator landmark for pictures and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch, after you will continue with your journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon your arrival you will have check into your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Canoe ride and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the 2nd day of the safari you will have a morning canoe ride and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, after morning breakfast you will for a canoe ride on the fresh waters of Lake Bunyonyi and on the ride you will enjoy sights of many bird species and visit various islands of Bunyonyi. After the canoe ride you will head back to your lodge, have lunch then checkout and set off on a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Bwindi impenetrable national park is a world’s recognized heritage site famous for habiting the biggest population of mountain gorillas in the world, on your arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Mountain gorilla trekking experience
On the 3rd day of the safari you are to engage in mountain gorilla trekking experience, after morning breakfast you will head to the park for a mountain gorilla trekking briefing session in which guidelines to follow on this experience will be ready to you a ranger. Later you will hike into the forests looking for mountain gorilla together with your packed lunch, the exercise of looking for mountain gorilla takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family you are trekking. When you find the mountain gorillas you will be allowed to stay for only 1 hour in presence of mountain gorillas while taking pictures as long as your flashlight is off and enjoying sights of the gorillas. Then you will head back to the park’s headquarters where you will be awarded gorilla trekking certificates and then return to your lodge, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala
On the 4th day of the safari you are to transfer back to Kampala, after early morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and set off on a drive back to Kampala. On your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch then proceed to Kampala arriving in the afternoon, you will be dropped either at your residence hotel or at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
