Detailed itinerary for the safari           

 Day 1: full day in Nairobi

The first day of the safari is for a tour you will have a full day of tour in Nairobi city visiting Nairobi national park and Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant orphanage, on this day you will wake up early in the morning, meet your safari driver after breakfast and drive to drive to Nairobi national park for a morning game drive. Nairobi national park is the only national park in the world situated in the capital centre, the park is a home to many animals such as black rhino, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes and many more. Nairobi national park is a birding destination with over 500 bird species including ostriches, corncrake, Abyssinian thrush, Fischer’s lovebird, kori bustard, lesser kestrel and many more.

Game drive in Nairobi national park is an exciting experience as you encounter many animals, birds and with a backdrop of city scrapers this experience is a thrill, after the game drive you will have lunch at any restaurant and in the evening you will drive to Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage for viewing orphaned elephants and rhinos in their natural habitat. The sanctuary takes care of orphaned elephants and rhinos that lost their parents due to poaching or human conflicts, while in the sanctuary you will get a chance to feed and wash the babies, take the babies on a walk, watch baby rhinos and elephants playing in the mud. After the experience you will drive back to your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru national park 

The second day of the safari you are to transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru national park, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then embark on your journey to lake Nakuru which is approximately 160 kilometers in distance taking approximately 3-4 hours. Lake Nakuru national park is one of the scenic national parks in Kenya and a great bird watching destination with over 500 bird species, the park is situated in the Great Rift Valley and lies in the chain of 8 lakes with Lake Nakuru as the greatest attraction in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for hosting millions of lesser and greater flamingoes which crowd the shores of the lake, others birds in the park include European roller, grey crowned crane, great snipe, greater spotted eagle and many more.  The park also hosts animals like giraffe, zebras, Buffalo, Hippopotamus, wildebeests, warthogs, waterbucks, Thompson gazelle and many more, you will arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will have at the lodge and after lunch you will drive to the park for an afternoon bird watching expedition. You will drive to Lake Nakuru which is crowded with hundreds of pink flamingoes and many other birds, at the lake you will see many birds and take magnificent pictures with the pink flamingoes. At the end of the experience you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer to Hells gate national park

The third day of the safari is for a morning game drive and then transfer to Hells gate national park, on this day you will wake up early in the morning and drive to park for an early morning game drive.  On the drive you will enjoy sights of many animals such as zebras, giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks, gazelles and many more from various viewpoints such as the Lion cliff, Baboon cliff and out of Africa. you will always get a chance to visit the magnificent Makalia waterfalls and at the end of the experience you will drive back to your lodge, have later breakfast and then checkout of your lodge heading for Hells gate national park. it is a drive of approximately 3 hours to hells gate national park and when you get in the park you will check into your lodge, have an afternoon of rest      and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Full day in Hells gate national park

The fourth of the safari is full day adventure in Hells gate national park participating activities such as morning game drive and afternoon hiking, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park for a morning game drive. As you drive through the park you will be rewarded by amazing scenic views of cliffs, volcanic plugs, cave and spot animals like zebras, giraffes, buffalo, gazelles, rock hyrax, reedbuck and many more. And many bird species such as vultures, verreaux’s eagle, augur buzzard and many more. At the end of the game drive you drive back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will drive back to the park for an afternoon hiking, the hike in the park takes you on an experience in deep in gorges, red colored cliffs, rock towers, hot springs and many more. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: transfer from Hells gate national park to Nairobi

The fifth and last day of the safari is for a visit to the Masai local community and transfer back to Nairobi for departure, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the Masai community for a cultural visit. The Masai people are typical local people living in Boma homestead which you will encounter while in their community, you will be entertained by local songs and dances and after the experience you will go back to your lodge, have lunch. After lunch you will checkout of you lodge and head for Nairobi which is a drive of approximately 3 hours, in Nairobi you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight or at your hotel which is the end of your safari.
