Detailed itinerary of 5 days Uganda Mountain gorilla and wildlife safari
Day 1: pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
On the 1st day of 5 days Uganda mountain gorilla and wildlife safari you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala by your safari driver after early morning breakfast, checkout and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. On your way you will have en-route lunch and when you get into the park you will check into your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the 2nd day of 5 days Uganda wildlife safari you will have early morning breakfast and head to kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth national park for a morning game drive, on the drive expect to see animals such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, warthogs, antelopes, Uganda kob and many more. After the lunch you will head to Kazinga channel for a boat cruise on which you will spot many water birds such as herons, crested cranes, shoebill and many animals such as crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, hippos and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the 3rd of 5 days Uganda mountain gorilla and wildlife safari you will wake up for breakfast and as early as 6:00 am and head to kyambura gorge/forest of Queen Elizabeth national park for chimpanzee tracking, chimpanzee tracking takes about 2-4 hours and while on walk in the forests you will view many beautiful bird species, plants and other primates. When you find the chimpanzee you are to stay for only one hour watching the chimpanzee play on tree tops, pick fruits and take beautiful pictures. Then return to your lodge for lunch, check out and embark on a journey to of 4-5 hours to Bwindi impenetrable national park passing through the ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions. When you arrive in the park, you will check in, have an evening of relaxing and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: mountain gorilla trekking adventure
On the 4th day of 5 days Uganda safari you will have early morning breakfast and with your packed lunch you will head to the park for a mountain gorilla trekking adventure, the day starts with briefing at the park’s headquarters in which a senior ranger from Uganda wildlife Authority will read you the rules and regulations to follow for mountain gorilla trekking experience. You will be assigned a mountain gorilla group to trek, hire a porter to assist you with your belongings and then trek into the forests trekking for mountain gorillas. Mountain gorilla trekking takes about 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent the previous night, finding mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is an exceptional lifetime experience which will blow your mind. You are to stay for one hour in the presence of mountain gorillas as you observe them at a close range, observe the adult feed the young one, grooming and take beautiful pictures with camera’s flashlight off. After the trek you will trek back to the starting point, meet your safari driver and head back to your lodge, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
On the 5th day of 5 days Uganda mountain gorilla and wildlife safari you will have early morning breakfast at your lodge, checkout, and embark on your journey back to Kampala. On your way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and when you arrive in Kampala you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
